The NeedCivil wars and the scourge of HIV/AIDS have decimated a generation of parents and orphaned 2million children in uganda alone according to the UNAIDS statistics out of 25million people. Desperate, weak, relatives unable to provide for children abandon them to the streets or the doorsteps of churches, while some new-born babies are discarded in pit latrines or on garbage dumps.
